Jeonju’s Traditional Street Parade: Korea’s Living Culture in Motion

The beat of Korean tradition fills the street.
It’s not a stage performance — it’s a cultural parade where you become part of the show.

Welcome to the Jeonju Traditional Parade,
a free outdoor cultural experience held every Saturday at 2:30 PM from April 12 to October 26, 2025,
in the heart of Jeonju Hanok Village, along the path from Namcheongyo Bridge to Gyeonggijeon Palace.

This vibrant street parade features the sounds and movements of Korea’s most iconic folk arts:
Samulnori (Korean drumming), Gijeopnori (traditional flag acrobatics), Beona (plate-spinning), and more.

What makes it special?
It’s not just something to watch — it’s something to join.

🎭 try a traditional dance.
🎏 Grab a giant flag and march with the performers.
🥁 Follow the beat and become part of the rhythm.

his parade brings Jeonju’s spirit to life:
a city where culture breathes in every alley, and tradition meets the present.
Inspired by Gijeopnori, a local folk art from Jeonju,
the performance reinterprets Korea’s traditional heritage in a modern, interactive format.
